Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for an Incident Response Evidence Tech to be a part of making this happen.
The primary responsibility of this role will be to manage the life cycle of the physical property and evidentiary data while in the custody of Arctic Wolf. The Evidence Technician will ensure that customer data and equipment are maintained securely, and that data and equipment are properly returned to the owner or securely disposed of upon completion of a case.

Your current role or experience indicates have relevant professional experience in information technology. You are a highly organized individual with attention to detail. You have excellent communication and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Inbound
- Unbox collected client evidence drives
- Remove labeling to protect privacy of the client and dispose of labels and associated documents
- Fulfill chain of custody compliance needs
- Ingest
- Work with the Digital Forensics & Incident Response team to determine appropriate data ingestion needs and priorities
- Ensure that all property and data are properly labeled, and that the location of all property is properly catalogued and documented
- Use CLI, Cyberduck, or other methods to upload data
- Monitor in progress ingest projects
- Troubleshoot storage device and ingestion issues
- Outbound Collection Kits
- Create bootable drives for cases when needed
- Label storage devices to effectively manage inventory and tracking
- Build out hardware to spec such as QNAP units for collection needs
- Create UPS labels and packaging to protect storage devices during shipment
- Ensure shipments are sent in a timely manner
- Catalog Evidence
- Store client evidence drives in secured storage cabinets
- Ensure locations are kept up-to-date
- Off-boarding clients
- Manage the data return/destruction process including client outreach after incident response engagements are finished
- Sync data between drives and the forensic share
- Properly destroy and log necessary data drives
Qualifications
Required
- General IT experience such as helpdesk support, workstation configuration, contributing to or managing IT-related projects and/or processes, etc.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, written, and verbal communication skills
- Solid computing skills and knowledge
- Creative-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to drop off packages to a shipping vendor
Preferred
- Previous experience with CLI and Cyberduck
- Previous experience with property and/or evidence tracking systems
