The Global Payments team is building a platform to provide cross-border payment solutions for all ByteDance's products and services, such as TikTok, Helo, Games, Education, etc.

We are seeking an experienced Security Engineering Manager to build and lead our talented security engineers. As the team leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust security architectures for our payment systems. You will play a key role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems, managing security initiatives, and driving continuous improvement in our security posture. The detailed responsibility include:
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Security Engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Provide guidance and support to team members in executing security projects and initiatives.
- Security Architecture: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of security architectures for payment systems, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.
- Threat Analysis and Incident Response: Lead the team in conducting threat analysis, vulnerability management, and incident response activities. Develop and execute incident response plans, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security incidents.
- Security Testing: Oversee regular security assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews to identify and address security vulnerabilities in payment systems.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, and operations, to integrate security measures into all aspects of the organization's processes. Foster strong partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Compliance: Ensure the team's compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and legal requirements related to payment security.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of the organization's security strategy. Provide input on security-related policies, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Proven leadership experience in a security engineering role, preferably in the payment industry.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization.
- Experience with security technologies and tools, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
- Excellent people management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $210000 - $358000 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
