EFX seeks an experienced Network Engineer - Security with a proven track record in routing, switching, and cloud networking. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of FISMA or FedRAMP network security controls and experience implementing them within hybrid environments.
Equifax has a hybrid work schedule that allows for 2 days of remote work (Monday and Friday), with 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) each week.
This resource will be required to work from the Equifax office location in Alpharetta, GA or in Reston, VA

What you’ll do
Provide technical expertise needed to support day-to-day network operations.
Lead efforts to maintain and audit a rapidly growing network topology that must meet the needs of a challenging set of development, operations and business requirements.
Demonstrate innovative approaches to solving the unique challenges encountered and be able to maintain the security and integrity of the networks.
Create and maintain IT documentation.
Monitor performance of network systems and advise management when additional processing or technology enhancements are required.
Perform troubleshooting of systems and infrastructure elements to support the diagnosis of problems.
Support efforts to maintain complex and growing network topology that must meet the needs of a challenging set of development, operations and business requirements.
Demonstrating innovative approaches to solving the unique challenges encountered and being able to maintain the security and integrity of the networks is very important.

Perform troubleshooting of systems and infrastructure elements to support the diagnosis of problems.
Stay abreast of innovations in the network technology market in order to ensure we are ahead of business and regulatory needs.
Maintain a high profile within the technology community, contributing to Equifax’ profile as an innovative technology company.
Engage with 3rd party vendors in order to assess and validate market offerings and opportunities to enhance the Equifax value proposition.
Ability to participate in 24x7x365 on-call rotation.
What experience you need
BS or Associate's Degree or equivalent job experience required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer professional.
2+ years of experience with public cloud networking (GCP preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of IP network support experience.
Minimum of 5 years experience with TCP/UDP protocols, ICMP, VLANS, trunking, routing, subnetting, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and the ability to decode and review protocol traces.
Minimum of 5 years of configuration & troubleshooting experience using Palo Alto and Juniper firewalls to meet segmentation and compliance controls.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in configuration and command set mastery of Cisco and Juniper switches & routers.
Strong experience with InfoBlox DNS solution, AWS Route 53, Google Cloud DNS and F5 GTM & LTM.
A strong experience with LAN, WAN, and WLAN (MPLS, Internet, etc.).
Ability to participate in 24x7x365 on-call rotation.
What could set you apart
Experience with Network Security; Firewall, Proxies, etc.
Network Security - FISMA and/or FedRAMP Network Control Implementation experience.
Google Cloud Networking experience.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and documentation skills.
Cloud Certification Strongly Preferred.
