Our challenge

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Portfolio Manager for Networks to lead and manage our network infrastructure portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network architecture and design, network security, network performance management, troubleshooting, cloud networking, as well as management and leadership skills, project management, vendor management, budgeting, and cost management.

Additional Information* 

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $130k - $140k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and architecture of the organization's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security.

  • Oversee network security and compliance, ensuring that the network infrastructure meets industry standards and best practices.

  • Manage network performance and reliability, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.

  • Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts related to network infrastructure, working closely with technical teams to address complex issues.

  • Drive the organization's cloud networking strategy, including the integration of cloud-based networking solutions and services.

  • Provide leadership and management for the network team, including mentoring, performance reviews, and professional development.

  • Manage network-related projects, including planning, execution, and delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.

  • Oversee vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring that vendors deliver according to agreed-upon service levels and quality standards.

  • Develop and manage budgets for network infrastructure, optimizing costs while ensuring the reliability and security of the network.

Requirements:

You are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree or relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, PMP, or equivalent preferred.

  • Proven experience in network architecture, design, and implementation in complex enterprise environments.

  • In-depth knowledge of network security principles, practices, and technologies, with experience in implementing and managing security solutions.

  • Strong expertise in network performance management, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting methodologies.

  • Experience in cloud networking, including the integration of cloud-based services and solutions into the existing network infrastructure.

  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing network team.

  • Proven experience in project management, including planning, execution, and delivery of network-related projects.

  • Excellent vendor management skills, with the ability to negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and drive performance.

  • Strong budgeting and cost management skills, with the ability to optimize costs while ensuring the reliability and security of the network.
