The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Scope of Position:

Corning Information Security is looking for an entry level professional with a highly analytical skillset and a desire for professional growth across Corning’s Information Security organization.

Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of Active Directory, Entra (Azure) Active Directory, and CyberArk Identity products.
• Ability to produce architecture artifacts, such as solution designs, that combine and integrate multiple technologies, from conceptual models to applied architecture.
• Research, evaluate, and lead deployment of new capabilities, technical controls, and key operational process to support Information Security and governance strategies.
• Conduct risk assessments to ensure compliance with industry best practices and alignment with corporate standards and policies.
• Knowledge and understanding of baseline security configuration standards for operating systems (e.g., OS hardening), network segmentation and identity and access management (IAM).
• Identify and report on risks associated with current or future services.
• Participate in cross-collaboration with cross-functional teams including Infrastructure, Network, Security Operations, and End-User groups to communicate and align to security policies as required.
• Document, monitor, follow-up, and report on non-approved use of technical services.
• Review and maintain security standards and policies in accordance with corporate policy and security standards. (e.g. NIST; ISO/IEC; CMMC)
• Ability to quickly learn, communicate and apply technical concepts

Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in computer science, information security or similar discipline
• 1-3 years’ experience in an IT role with a focus on information security

Required Skills:

• Understanding of computer networking concepts and technology
• Understanding of cyber security methodologies and concepts
• Excellent team player who takes initiative and ownership of assigned items to see them through completion.

Desired Skills

• Detail oriented and thorough.
• Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal).
• Willingness to learn and acquire new skills.
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Ability to utilize various programming or scripting languages such as JavaScript, HTML and PowerShell.
• Certifications in AWS or Azure environments.
• Experience with Microsoft M365 and related security tools.

Travel Requirement

• Domestic and International travel may be required, up to 10%

This position does not support immigration sponsorship.  

The range for this position is  $90,323.00   -  $124,195.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
