Information Security Officer

Evolver Federal is seeking a candidate to satisfy a request for an Information Security Officer for a program to support a government client.

Responsibilities:

The Information Security Officer will be responsible for:

• The assurance that all systems, components, and services, required by the client, are in compliance with federal security policies, processes, and procedures
• Monitoring and addressing system vulnerabilities
• Maintaining the security solution design and assisting in protecting all sensitive customer information
• Conducting risk assessments to identify any possible threats, vulnerabilities, and security breaches
• Conducting investigations from any possible identified threats to mitigate and manage any possible security breaches and incidents
• Developing and delivering training for all employees of the organization
• Communicating with other departments and levels of management to ensure security procedures are followed throughout the organization

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, other related discipline, or equivalent experience
• 5 years of experience in an ISSO position, or a related position
• 5 years of experience in Security Engineering or Security Operations
• 5 years of experience analyzing, assessing, and implementing corrective actions based on vulnerability management tools
• 2 years with some management or project lead experience
• Must have and maintain at least one (1) active certification such as CASP, GSEC, GSLC, CISSP, CEH, CISM, and CISA, or other
• 2 years of experience with working with AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and/or Cornerstone
• 5 years of experience creating and maintaining technical documentation

Preferred Requirements:

• Strong ability to create technical documents
• Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
• Ability to provide security expertise on security controls and to conduct security testing and develops assessment of local area network and other components with the purpose of ensuring compliance
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, showcasing the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Extensive knowledge of security systems and ability to serve as a SME on network continuous monitoring tools implementation across networks and ability to recommended solutions as needed to support vulnerability remediation for Windows, Max, Linux and other operating systems
• Experience with incident response and investigation
• Experience creating Privacy Impact Assessments and risk assessments
• Experience and ability to perform continuous review of existing systems and making recommendations for optimization
• Proven work experience as an ISSO in a government environment
• Proven in-depth knowledge of information security processes, processes, methodologies, and best practices
