Job Description

Solidigm is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Network Operations and Security to lead the design, implementation, and management of our global network infrastructure within a mix of Full-Time Employee (FTE) and Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments. The ideal candidate will have experience converging and optimizing global network architectures to ensure optimal performance, security, and integration with external networks, thereby supporting our business goals and collaboration needs. Proven experience in integrating air-gapped, cloud, and on-premises environments, and ensuring the appropriate level of security for classified network traffic and assets, is essential for this role.

Responsible for supervision/management of an IT function/site/corporate operation. Day-to-day functional management of the organization, to include performance management, training/developing, forecasting/reporting, and budgeting/expense control. Set future direction and plans. Ensures operation meets basic user, headcount, and quality guidelines. Represent operation. Provide training program. Provide day-to-day operational reporting/tracking indicators. Requires advanced knowledge of a highly technical or professional field. Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with network infrastructure technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, IDS/IPS, proxies).
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching.
  • Proficiency in network security practices, tools, and standards.
  • Extensive experience with cloud networking in Azure, AWS, and GCP environments, including hybrid and multi-cloud solutions.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in network design, implementation, and operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Additional Information

For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $149,430 to $261,690. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
