We are now seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to join the Umovity team. 

DUTIES

• Develop the security strategy in close coordination with our top management, aligning security objectives, customer requirements, regulatory requirements, and economic feasibility. 
• Contribute to and continuously develop our ISMS (Information Security Management System). 
• Train and raise awareness among employees regarding IT security risks and measures. 
• Work closely with international stakeholders from product development, IT, Legal, HR and Procurement to implement the security strategy. 
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR). 
• Monitor and coordinate incident response processes and teams to handle security incidents quickly and effectively. 
• Measure, collect and report key performance indicators for relevant security aspects (technology, organization, development) 
• Manage relationships with external security vendors and service providers. 
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions. 

REQUIREMENTS 

• Must be located in the U.S., Germany, or Poland.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a comparable qualification. 
• Several years of professional experience in IT security, preferably in a leadership role. 
• In-depth knowledge of network security, data encryption, and compliance requirements. 
• Strong understanding of cloud security, application security, and secure software development practices. 
• Experience in developing and implementing security strategies in an international and hybrid team. 
• Strong analytical skills and a structured, solution-oriented approach to work. 
• Excellent communication skills in English, fluent German is a big plus.

COMPENSATION

The base pay range for this full-time exempt position is $100,000 - $150,000 salary per year. Pay ranges are determined by various factors, including role, experience, and location. The pay range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire rates for this position. Within the range, actual individual compensation is determined by various factors, including location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT
