Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Security Administrator to support the Naval Aviation Production Process Sustainment (NAPPS) program at Naval Aviation Schools Command (NASC). This role is crucial in managing security clearance processes and ensuring compliance with information security protocols for officer and naval enlisted aircrew candidates.


As a Security Administrator, you will:

  • Provide administrative support for all Officer and Naval Enlisted Aircrew Candidates reporting for Naval Aviation Fundamentals and Naval Aircrew Training
  • Initiate and review background investigations via National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) and the Defense Information Security Systems (DISS)
  • Process controlled access program eligibility determinations in accordance with ICD-704
  • Acquire, review, and correct DISS records as needed
  • Submit Personal Security Questionnaires (PSQ) and other required documentation
  • Serve as an intermediary between N9SP representatives and students for corrective measures and follow-up questioning in support of program eligibility determinations
  • Maintain and update current and projected student information in NIPDR
  • Track prerequisites for enrollment in Naval Introductory Flight Evaluation (NIFE)
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant security protocols and regulations
  • Coordinate with Task Group Accessions, MATSG-21, and NAF analysts as necessary to support Task Group Accessions functions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date security-related records and databases
  • Provide guidance and support to students and staff regarding security clearance processes and requirements

Requirements

 Detailed Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in security administration, preferably in a military or government setting
  • In-depth knowledge of security clearance processes, NBIS, and DISS
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience with database management and data entry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible for a Secret security clearance
