About the role

This role will be seated in Menlo Park, CA, Seattle, WA, Washington, DC, or New York, NY.

Robinhood Platform Security is looking for a cloud security domain expert to build security controls on Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role you will exemplify our Safety First value by making our cloud platform safe by default and providing Robinhood developers with paved roads and security services that help them protect their applications.

Your day-to-day will involve:

• You will use a first principles mindset and a broad range of languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies to assess and continuously improve the security of Robinhood's cloud environments.
• You will apply your deep expertise in automation, AWS security, and industry benchmarks to ensure that Robinhood applications are built on a secure foundation.
• You will work backward from business stakeholders, product owners, and engineers across Robinhood to build security services and capabilities that make it easier for developers protect their applications.

What you bring:

• 4+ years' experience in full-stack software engineering in a large scale, cloud native environment with many customers and diverse use cases
• 2+ years' experience developing and implementing automation and security controls on AWS
• You are highly proficient with modern programming languages like Golang and Python, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, and are a deep AWS domain expert.
• You are an excellent communicator and are comfortable discussing complex technical concepts with engineers and partners at any role or level

The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan.

US Zone 1: $187000 - $220000
US Zone 2: $165000 - $194000
US Zone 3: $146000 - $172000

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. You can view comp zones for our US office locations in the table below. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
