About the Role

Capella Space is seeking a SOC Analyst who will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security events and incidents across our network infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a critical role in protecting our organization's digital assets and ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information systems. This role requires a keen eye for detail, an analytical mindset, and a passion for cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor audit log activity for security events and anomalous behavior using SIEM tools.
  • Analyze and investigate security incidents to determine their cause and impact.
  • Respond to security incidents in a timely manner and participate in incident response activities.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and document mitigation requirements.
  • Provide recommendations on security policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement security measures.
  • Stay updated on the latest security threats, technologies, and trends.
  • Coordinate with employees across organization to resolve security events
  • Perform regular audits of security controls and systems.
  • Participate in the development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Requirements

  • Expertise in correlating audit log events from multiple sources throughout a complex IT and cloud enterprise
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a SOC Analyst role (or similar position)
  • Understanding of cyber forensics concepts including malware, hunt, etc
  • Proficient with Splunk Enterprise Security
  • Strong experience on security industry trends, new threats and attack techniques, mitigation techniques, and emerging security technologies
  • Experience as a Security/Network Administrator or equivalent knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Computer Information Systems (or relevant industry certifications)
  • Experienced with CrowdStrike or other Endpoint Detection and Response technologies
  • Experienced with vulnerability management tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, firewall management, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Capella Employees must be a U.S. citizen, lawful U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce, as applicable. Compensation 

The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $93,117 - $123,380.  The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.  Benefits listed in this posting may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Capella Space.
