Product Line Manager

Position Overview

What You Will Do [Responsibilities]

This role will aid NetWitness in becoming the center of the intelligence-driven detection and response SIEM and Analytics. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading product management efforts on a day-to-day basis, leveraging a variety of technologies, advancements, innovation, and state-of-the-art threat research and intelligence provided by NetWitness’ FirstWatch Threat Intelligence Organization in respect to our SIEM and Analytics capabilities. In this role, you will collaborate to ensure that execution occurs on time and that new technological innovations are brought to market cleanly, correctly, and thoroughly to disrupt existing cybersecurity markets, while growing and solidifying our base.  Areas of responsibility will include but may not be limited to the following:

 

  • Report to the Director of Product Line Management and the Chief Product Officer (CPO).
  • Work with the greater PLM organization to define and execute the go-to-market strategy for your areas of responsibility with the goal of market dominance and revenue growth.
  • Partner closely with the entire Product Line Management organization, Engineering and Development, Customer Success and Support, Threat Research and Intelligence, Marketing, and Sales/Sales Engineering to identify areas of opportunity that NetWitness can excel within and accelerate to gain greater market share for its SIEM and Analytics offerings.
  • Become an expert and go-to resource for sales and marketing in NetWitness technology and products.
  • Aid in the design and implementation of product line management and product marketing management best practices to drive the business.
  • Play a key role in messaging the NetWitness value proposition.
  • Craft compelling product value and messaging that resonates with NetWitness customers.
  • Create high-value, motivating, impactful content that coalesces thoughtful value-based messaging and domain expertise to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Evangelize NetWitness technology globally specifically related to our SIEM and Analytics capabilities as part of our platform working in concert with our NDR offering.
  • Ensure that NetWitness technology initiatives meet and exceed the needs of the business through crafting compelling go-to-market strategies, execution, and product launches.
  • Help lead the planning and introduction of new products or capabilities into the market, with oversight into all aspects of delivery including marketing, sales, partner, and other teams.
  • Understand market trends, customer requirements, usage and buying behavior, and the partner ecosystem to better identify market opportunities and customer demand for NetWitness’s product offerings.
  • Use customer, partner, and competitive research to drive effective messaging and influence go-to-market strategy.
  • Work collaboratively on product messaging, positioning, and value propositions that articulate the differentiating qualities of NetWitness technologies.
  • Educate the sales and sales engineering organization on the competitive landscape and key competitive offerings.
  • Play a key role in collaborative initiatives relating to the product roadmap, strategy, and pricing based on market research and analysis.
  • Create content that resonates strongly with current and prospective customers: blogs, whitepapers, solution briefs, case studies, data cut sheets, etc.

 

 

 

What Will You Need [Requirements]

  • Proven record of accomplishment in product line management within the cybersecurity industry specifically focusing on SIEM and Analytics as a part of modern SIEM architectures.
  • A minimum of 7 years of enterprise cybersecurity product line management experience in the SIEM and Analytics market.
  • Ability to coach cross-functional teams in messaging and product launches.
  • Strong knowledge of security buyer personas in enterprise environments and service providers (MDR/MSSP etc.).
  • Mature understanding of the Internet Threat Landscape.
  • Experience working with advanced research and development teams in bringing innovative technologies to market.
  • Experience working with threat research and intelligence teams to drive value to the customer.
  • Deep knowledge of the cybersecurity industry including industry trends, solutions, and the competitive landscape.
  • Deep experience in the following domains: Network full packet capture solutions, NDR, IDS/IPS, Behavioral, Applied Data Science (ML, AI, Deep Learning, Neural Networking etc.), Analytics, and/or Threat research for security operations roles, along with best practices that reflect day-to-day customer experiences.
  • Cyber Security Markets: Network Security, NDR, SIEM, EDR, MSSP, etc.
  • Refined leadership and team management skills, with a record of accomplishment of managing high-performing teams.
  • Effective communication and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to take complex concepts, simplify and break them down to achieve a simple, succinct message in plain language.
  • Critical thinking and analysis mindset that exhibits the ability to use data and market insights to achieve informed decision-making.
  • Business acumen and understanding of product revenue goals, pricing, and revenue growth and generation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other departments and regions.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
