Summary:

As a member of the Cyber Security Risk Management team, the Cyber Security Senior Engineer for Cyber Enablement will be responsible for gathering, tracking, and driving the work items generated by the Cyber Fusion team, such as incident response tickets, penetration testing findings, threat intelligence action items, and vulnerability management action items. This role partners tightly with subject matter experts inside the Cyber Fusion Center and elsewhere in CHS to ensure that critical outcomes are effectively understood, prioritized, and executed. The individual will build relationships and processes with work stream owners and will provide reporting to leadership to reflect the efficacy of the Enablement program. Success in this role will require strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to understand and translate “tech speak” to business value and business risk. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Intake action items from Cyber Fusion service lines (exposure management, threat intel, low and medium priority incident response items, and others). Work with service line leaders to prioritize and clarify the work needed, and disseminate the work to the appropriate owners.
  • Drive execution of urgent work related to cyber exposure by building and leading short-term focused teams. Deliver outcomes by creating buy-in, transparency, and accountability for critical outcomes.
  • Track open work for SLA compliance, consistent progress, and ownership. Drive progress through relationship building, effective partnership, and clear communication.
  • Develop tracking and metrics to provide consistent visibility for Cyber Security leadership to understand progress on key work and measure general efficacy of work item closure such as average time to resolve issues.
  • Report to the Director of Cyber Defense, working to ensure alignment between priorities and communication channels.
  • Partner with metrics and analytics developers to share key metrics with stakeholders

    • Maintain complete confidentiality of company business and risks.
    • Communicate with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.


Qualifications:

  • Required Education: High School diploma
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Risk Management (or other related field), or equivalent work experience.
  • Required Experience:
    • Duration:
      • 3+ years of project management or administrative experience, and
      • 2+ years of cyber security, information technology, or healthcare experience
    • Activities:
      • Practical experience with managing complex work streams and providing operational oversight on outcomes
      • Worked in process-driven structured environments and participated in process optimization activities.
    • Competencies:
      • Knowledge of work tracking technologies and methods
      • Proactive identification and solving of complex problems
      • Effective communication of complex concepts to a non-technical audience
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred Experience:
    • 4+ years of project management or people management experience
    • 3+ cyber security experience
  • Required License/Registration/Certification: None
  • Computer Skills Required: Productivity suite software required
