Team:

The Identity and Access Management Engineering Team is chartered with securely enabling interactive user activity within our cloud infrastructure.

Role:

This role will support the development of Privileged Access Management (PAM) systems, policies and work to develop a superior user experience for interactive access.

What you get to do in this role:

  • As an engineer on the ServiceNow Application Security Team, you will be responsible in identifying security vulnerabilities anywhere in the environment.
  • In this role, you will interface with internal teams supporting cloud servers globally.
  • You will have the opportunity to influence next-generation privileged access strategies, plan projects, and be a security advocate.
  • Coordinate authorization and authentication requirements across, engineering teams, security operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in supporting the US Federal regulated markets.
  • Document and develop new processes and procedures to enable users.
  • Coordinate with system/application owners to identify areas where better controls should be enforced.
  • Recommend best-practice security procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Develop and run reports using relevant security metrics data and develop and maintain security dashboards and scorecards.
  • Work across ServiceNow security teams to help drive security improvements.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • 3+ years of application/product security experience, focused on identity and access management.
  • Strong understanding of authentication and authorization stack on Linux servers.
  • Strong scripting skills.
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory (AD) and LDAP.
  • Linux System Administration experience. 
  • Adaptable to ever changing priorities and tasks.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience with “Puppet” and GIT (code development and deployment).
  • Proficiency in one or more languages - Python, Java, JavaScript, and GoLang preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of software design patterns and their security considerations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a highly distributed team.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders.
  • A passion for security.
