The Company

Netcraft is the global leader in cybercrime detection and disruption. We’re a trusted partner for three of the four largest companies in the world, twelve of the fifty largest banks, and 8 of the largest world governments. We've blocked almost 200 million cyber-attacks to date, and we take down around 33% of the world's phishing attacks.

Our purpose and passion are focused on just one thing: protecting the world from cybercrime. We carry that passion through into our workplace too. Our people are highly talented, and everyone is valued for their individual contribution, so we make sure Netcraft is a great place to work. From great benefits to health and wellness and social events, we’ve got you covered.

The Role

We're seeking a Cybercrime Analyst to join our amazing Technical Operations team. Cybercrime Analysts have an opportunity to make a real difference in the world by identifying threats and acting to protect governments, banks, and consumers from online attacks. You'll be a key part of the incident response team, finding innovative ways to rapidly disrupt cyber-attacks against our clients. And don't worry if you have limited experience in this area: we can train you.

Day to day, your responsibilities will include:

  • Cybercrime incident response – communicating analysis of cyber threats to relevant parties to mitigate attacks;
  • Classification of malicious websites, social media profiles, apps, emails, and phone numbers;
  • Providing clear and professional feedback to customers on incidents and classifications;
  • Sharing your ideas on how to improve processes and workflows.

Based at our Bath office, but with hybrid flexibility, you’ll report directly to a more senior member of the Technical Operations function and will work closely with colleagues across different teams.

The reward package

  • A starting salary of £28,000 per annum, reviewed yearly
  • An excellent range of benefits including:
      • Opportunities for flexible working after completing an initial 6 weeks of training (after which you'll have the option to work remotely up to 4 days a week);
      • Opportunities for individual training and development;
      • 33 days holiday per year (incl. public holidays);
      • Pension scheme membership with 4% employer contributions  plus NI savings;
      • Two days paid Volunteering Leave per year;
      • Free meals, drinks and snacks provided daily in the offices;
      • Comprehensive wellness provisions;
      • Enhanced family leave provisions;
      • Regular events such as monthly board game nights, quarterly socials and big summer and winter parties;
      • A tax-efficient cycle to work scheme;
      • And an inclusive culture and environment, where you’ll feel genuinely valued and respected.

To be successful, you’ll need

  • Attention to detail, adaptability, and strong intellectual and commercial curiosity;
  • A positive and solution-focused approach;
  • Interest in the internet and cybercrime prevention;
  • Excellent communication skills with a high standard of written English;
  • Ability to engage with people in a friendly, helpful, and professional way;
  • Self-motivation, ability to take initiative, and work as part of a team;
  • Aptitude for analysing and using technical information;
  • Competence in handling incoming phone calls;
  • Some experience in cybersecurity is useful but not essential as full training will be provided;
  • A degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, IT, or any field that promotes analytical thinking may be beneficial but is not essential.

Prior experience or knowledge in cybersecurity is not required; we’re more interested in your passion and willingness to grow in this field.

Your standard working days will be Monday to Friday, 2PM-10PM. This is because Netcraft protects its customers 24/7, 365, which we'll discuss with you at interview.
