Digital Consultants is seeking a skilled and experienced Video Teleconference (VTC) Maintenance Technician and Mobile Device Manager to provide implementation and operational support for computer-based audio/visual (A/V) systems. The role involves supporting six conference rooms capable of A/V transmission, with three rooms certified for classified VTC conferences using SecureView. Additionally, the position includes managing government-provided personal electronic devices (GPEDs) such as cell phones, mobile hotspots, and tablets.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to identify, isolate, and remediate malfunctioning A/V equipment and systems (Crestron/Biamp), including microphones, speakers, displays, control systems, and associated cabling.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of software-based VTC applications (e.g., MS Teams, GVS, Zoom, SecureView) approved for use by the customer.
  • Configure and install patches and firmware updates to computer and A/V equipment assigned to each conference room.
  • Perform daily conference room and VTC availability checks.
  • Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance with vendors per maintenance agreements.
  • Coordinate warranty repair and replacement items as needed.
  • Monitor conference room calendars for priority or high-interest conferences and coordinate with conference points of contact (POCs) for on-hand support or training on VTC operation.
  • Coordinate with the asset manager to ensure all equipment is accounted for and tracked, including codecs, microphones, assigned laptops, and cameras.
  • Report missing or damaged equipment to the customer and asset manager.
  • Establish and maintain accounts with mobile device management (MDM) tools (e.g., Pure Bred, COPE) within thirty days of appointment.
  • Use approved MDM tools to maintain, track, provision, and deprovision assigned mobile devices.
  • Assist computer users with application lockouts, device and password resets, publishing new and old certificates to GPEDs, and adding users to appropriate security and distribution groups.
  • Track usage of GPEDs on cellular plans and recommend actions to adjust active inventory.
  • Ensure all GPEDs are tracked within the current system of record (i.e., DPAS) in coordination with the asset manager.
  • Provide Tier 1 and 1.5 support to ensure personal computers (PCs), laptops, and peripheral/network devices are fully functional and meet the standard desktop configuration (SDC).
  • Assist customers with the use of standard software loads and commonly used commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software.
  • Troubleshoot support issues from incoming calls, emails, and virtual Enterprise Service Desk tickets (vESD) or similar IT ticket tracking systems (Remedy and ServiceNow preferred).
  • Provide client support for conferences/training sessions hosted outside the building.

Requirements

  • DoD 8140 information assurance technical (IAT) Level II certification in CompTIA Security+ or higher-level (e.g., CISSP), current on appointment and maintained throughout the position’s tenure.
  • At least two years experience supporting Crestron/Biamp VTC solutions and conference room operations.
  • Current and active TS/SCI security clearance, maintained throughout the position tenure.
  • Experience providing Tiers 1 and 1.5 support for PCs, laptops, and peripheral/network devices.
  • Familiarity with PC and software configurations used by the customer and local primary subordinate units (PSUs).
  • Ability to assist customers with standard software loads and COTS software.
  • Experience using IT ticket tracking systems, preferably Remedy and ServiceNow.

Physical Position Requirements

  • The candidate, with or without reasonable accommodation, must physically be able to operate test equipment, machinery, and AV equipment; requires frequent physical hand dexterity and repetitive movements; may require the use of power and/or hand tools; must be able to identify colors visually; lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs.; may require extended periods sitting, standing, crawling in tight spaces if needed for cable work; work at heights using ladders and scaffolding; and will be required to drive a motor vehicle.
