Position Summary
This exciting NEW position within J. J. Keller's Information Technology area is responsible for safeguarding our organization’s IT infrastructure and data against cyber threats.
The Data Security Analyst will analyze, monitor, and respond to security incidents, assess vulnerabilities, and implement measures to enhance the overall security posture of the company. This role is crucial in identifying potential threats, managing security technologies, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations.
This role can work 100% Remote, at our Corporate Headquarters in Neenah, WI, or in a Hybrid capacity.
Job Responsibilities
Threat Analysis and Incident Response
- Monitors security alerts and conducts investigations to identify and respond to potential threats and breaches.
- Analyzes security incidents to determine their nature, scope, and impact, and develops strategies for containment and remediation.
Security Monitoring and Management
- Performs regular security assessments, including vulnerability scans and penetration testing, to identify and address potential security weaknesses.
- Manages and maintains security tools and technologies, including intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), Antivirus, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats and vulnerabilities, and implement appropriate measures to protect the organization.
Policy and Compliance
- Ensures that security policies, procedures, and standards are up-to-date and compliant with industry regulations and best practices.
- Assists with audits and assessments to verify compliance with internal and external security requirements.
- Provides recommendations for improving security practices and ensure the implementation of security policies.
Security Awareness and Training
- Assists with developing security awareness training and communication for employees to promote best practices for data protection and threat prevention.
- Provides guidance and support to staff on security issues and best practices.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintains accurate records of security incidents, vulnerabilities, and risk assessments.
- Prepares regular reports on security status, incidents, and improvements for management review.
Qualifications
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in IT security or a related field, including experience with security monitoring tools and incident response.
- Understanding of PCI compliance, ISO 27001, SOC2, and CMMC standards.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- CompTIA Security+
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of network protocols, security architecture, and security technologies.
- Experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and SIEM systems.
- Proficiency in analyzing security logs, conducting vulnerability assessments, and performing penetration tests.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

J. J. Keller provides a competitive benefit package which includes the following (eligibility requirements apply): Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plan, etc. The compensation range for this role is $77,000.00 to $95,000.00 which varies depending on factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s overall experience and geographic location. Note that J. J. Keller is not currently recruiting employees to work in California.
