As our organization and department continue to expand, we’re seeking a leader for one of the unique functions within our security community of practice.The Security Engineering Manager will lead a high-performing team of security experts within this truly global function. In collaboration with other security professionals and the CISO, this role will be pivotal in shaping and driving the architectural and technological vision for the company. As a recognized authority in security, the Security Engineering Manager will be the go-to advisor on security matters and a key influencer in engineering decisions.

Key responsibilities:

• Accountable for the team's delivery and work environment, driving and organizing goals, managing the team backlog, aligning multiple initiatives, and ensuring timely execution of activities
• Ensures alignment of team activities with company priorities, other departments, and stakeholders' needs, while driving significant improvements, and defining the team road map, strategy, and work framework in collaboration with the CISO
• Detects and scales best practices in the security function; drives improvements, and assists with implementation
• Works proficiently with other engineers and thus provides multidisciplinary guidance and ensures completion of the most complex initiatives
• Proactively implements significant and systematic security improvements by continuously inspecting the current architecture, suggesting enhancements, and redesigning multiple systems when necessary to enhance security and efficiency
• Invests significant time in actively educating and mentoring other engineers
• Proactively researches, using peers or larger communities, new developments in security in order to propose to manager and CISO mid-term and long-term development strategy

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a IT Security leadership capacity, preferrably within a technologically advanced, international/regional environment 
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC as well as a university education in Information Technology (or a relevant field), are preferred
• Exceptional strategic, conceptual, analytical, and lateral thinking abilities, with proven expertise in successfully leading and influencing organizational change initiatives, particularly in the field of information security
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical information to a diverse range of stakeholders
• Full professional fluency in English
