Information Security Administrator

Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Information Security Administrator who will be working within the Information Security team, assisting the Information Security Manager in the day-to-day Security Operations, and as assigned against risk assessment, risk management, and reporting – representing Information Security requirements.

What you'll be doing

• Performing first line support, triage and escalate clearly, concisely and effectively to the Information Security Manager appropriately.
• Acting as an escalation point for standard Service Desk change tickets assigned to Information security, and work collaboratively and effectively as part of the overall IT service team.
• Ensuring best practice is performed and escalations and challenges to requests are made as required.
• Contribute to ITC specialist skills, knowledge and understanding to support in the design, development, delivery, and management of ITC initiatives, structures and architectures, including supporting service delivery, change project management and Information Security provision in the achievement of business requirements.
• Providing project management services for less complex projects to ensure compliance with best practice in project control, quality assurance and governance and provide additional support to the Information Security Manager

What we're looking for: 

• Previous experience in a related area such as GDPR, Governance & Assurance, Risk management and/or Information Security experience is essential.
• Prior experience of Security processes, tools and risk management
• General Technology Knowledge of common products (Windows 10, Citrix/VDI, Microsoft O365, One Drive, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Azure AD/Active Directory, Exchange)
• Basic understanding of all major conceptual elements of IT infrastructure including networking, telephony, operating systems, application servers, firewalls, and mobile devices.
• Excellent customer service skills, ability to build rapport and analyse problems.
• Providing technical support and able to articulate issues and solutions;
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised is essential.
• Able to maintain multiple concurrent streams of work, managing all within time and resource constraints
• Demonstration of IT training, and courses/subjects or a general interest in IT or workplace training equivalent.

Qualifications
