Cyber Security Data Protection Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled Cyber Security Data Protection Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in enhancing our data protection strategies and practices. The candidate will be responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining data classification and cryptography procedures. This role involves supporting data classification and cryptographic solutions, managing cryptographic keys, and identifying sensitive data across various repositories.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and continuously update data classification procedures as needed.
• Periodically perform data classification compliance assessments, report on the results, and recommend improvements.
• Support the use of data classification, cryptography, and watermarking tools and solutions.
• Assist in developing data classification and cryptographic measures.
• Support and manage cryptographic keys, ensuring secure handling and storage.
• Identify and map sensitive data across on-premises and cloud repositories.
• Enumerate and map data locations, including on-premises and cloud environments.
• Review the classification of all data within the Samref system.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in data protection, with hands-on experience in data classification, cryptography, and key management.
• Relevant certifications such as CISM or other cybersecurity-related certifications are preferred.
• Proficiency in data classification procedures, cryptographic solutions, and key management.
• Strong analytical skills for assessing data classification and identifying sensitive data.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively report on compliance assessments and support data protection efforts.
