The Role:
Congo Brands is looking for a Director of Technical Operations to lead the Global IT Infrastructure & Systems Operations Teams. The Director of Technical Operations will also oversee Information & Cyber Security, Azure, Microsoft365, related systems, and the Technical Support team. The Director of Technical Operations role involves extensive strategic and tactical planning, developing standards, policies, and procedures, and overseeing the company’s DRBC strategy, plan, and testing.

This is an in-office, full-time position at Congo Brands HQ in Louisville, KY.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Collaboration: Work closely with business partners, external vendors, and IT peers to integrate technology and solutions, ensuring security, performance, stability, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and availability.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement service delivery SLAs and oversee the company’s DRBC strategy.
  • Financial Management: Manage financial aspects of IT, including expense and capital planning, tracking, management, and forecasting.
  • Team Management: Provide strategic and tactical leadership to their IT functions, reporting to the Sr. Director of Global information Systems.
  • Functional Management: Azure infrastructure, network, cloud, and on-prem infrastructure, warehouse hardware and networking solutions, technical support, security program development and management, office systems, AV systems, enterprise data backup and retention solutions, DR and BC plan development and support, and audit support.
  • Collaborate with IT peers to achieve annual and strategic objectives while holding responsibility for the office AV systems.
  • Lead the technology infrastructure strategy, execution, and operations while establishing cloud operations.
  • Develop and implement a robust organization, information & cybersecurity program.
  • Manage hardware, related licensing and support agreements, renewals, endpoint software and collaboration systems.
  • Manage a wide range of vendor relationships, agreements, MSAs, etc.
  • Oversee all data backup and restore operations. Participate in the develop and maintenance of DRBC strategy and testing.
  • Guide the technical support team to meet SLAs and improve user experience.
  • Align strategies and roadmaps with business objectives.
  • Plan and track capital and expense budgets, ensuring ROI commitments.
  • Define and implement roadmaps to achieve desired maturity levels in functional areas.
  • Drive continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and standards.
  • Maintain an 8-quarter IT roadmap for systems management.
  • Manage all hardware and related software procurement, licensing management, expense tracking, etc.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to solve business problems.
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships for technology roadmaps and support services.
  • Ensure resource availability and skill development for emerging technologies.

Key Skills and Experience Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, and or a combination of education and experience; Infrastructure and/or security certifications (e.g., Cisco CCXX, CISSP) is a HUGE plus.
