Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Privilege Access Management (PAM) Specialist to join our team in New York City. This role is critical in defining, preparing, and executing the RFP process and implementing the chosen PAM tool. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PAM technologies, a deep understanding of security best practices, and the ability to drive the project from start to finish. This is not a project management role; we are looking for a true PAM expert who can deliver technical and strategic guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scope Definition: Work closely with stakeholders to define the scope of the PAM project, including understanding business requirements, identifying key assets and users, and determining risk factors.

  • RFP Preparation: Lead the preparation of a detailed Request for Proposal (RFP) for selecting a PAM tool. This includes defining technical requirements, evaluating potential vendors, and ensuring alignment with the organization’s security policies.

  • RFP Execution: Manage the RFP process, including engaging with vendors, coordinating demos, evaluating proposals, and making recommendations based on technical and financial considerations.

  • Tool Implementation: Lead the implementation of the selected PAM tool, including installation, configuration, and integration with existing systems. Ensure that the solution meets all security and compliance requirements.

  • Customization and Optimization: Customize and optimize the PAM tool to fit the specific needs of the organization. This may include scripting, policy configuration, and workflow automation.

  • Training and Documentation: Provide training to IT staff and end-users on the proper use of the PAM tool. Develop and maintain documentation, including user guides, technical manuals, and operational procedures.

  • Ongoing Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the PAM solution, including troubleshooting issues, applying updates, and ensuring continuous alignment with evolving security requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Privilege Access Management, including scoping, RFP preparation and execution, and tool implementation.

  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of PAM tools such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Thycotic, or similar. Experience with access control, identity management, and security frameworks.

  • Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including least privilege, role-based access control, and compliance standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOX.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex security issues and develop creative solutions to meet business needs.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or PAM-specific certifications are a plus.

The salary range for this role is US$110,000 - US$150,000
