Cyber Security Analyst

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a crucial role in protecting Boden’s digital assets from cyber threats and ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our information systems. You will be working as part of team monitoring, analysing, and responding to security incidents, as well as implementing and maintaining security measures to safeguard against potential cyber-attacks.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Security Monitoring and Incident Response:

          - Monitor security events and alerts using a range of tools including LogRhythm to identify potential security incidents.

          - Analyse security logs and data to investigate and respond to security incidents promptly.

• Vulnerability Management:      
  - Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses in the organization's infrastructure and applications.

           - Prioritize and remediate identified vulnerabilities to reduce the risk of exploitation.

          - Stay updated on emerging threats and vulnerabilities to proactively address potential security risks.

• Security Policy and Compliance:

           - Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures.

• Security Awareness and Training:

           - Help develop and deliver security awareness training, including phishing tests, to educate employees about cybersecurity best practices.

           - Foster a security-conscious culture within the organization by promoting awareness of security risks and encouraging proactive security behaviours.

THE EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field or equivalent experience and certifications.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cybersecurity principles.
• Experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Hands on experience with:

             - LogRhythm or another SIEM

             - Enterprise vulnerability management tools e.g. Qualys, SCCM, InTune

             - Data loss prevention tools

             - Microsoft 365 and/or Mimecast

             - AD, 2FA (e.g. Okta), GPO

             - Enterprise anti-malware solutions

             - AWS, Azure security

• Technical knowledge:

             - Network protocols, segmentation, and network devices e.g. Firewalls, routers and load balancers.

             - Mitre Att&ck framework

             - Windows server and desktop, Linux, and Mac nice to have.

             - NIST standards and methodologies
