What You Will Do:
The Guidehouse Internship Program staffs interns on real world projects, showcases the Guidehouse culture, and provides interns with a meaningful consulting experience. Interns work with teams and provide real-time deliverables in support of Guidehouse clients. Each intern is paired with a Buddy to serve as a resource that can assist them in navigating their Guidehouse experience.
Highlights of the Guidehouse Internship Program include:
- 10-week experience in the Summer of 2025 (Anticipated to start Monday, June 2nd and run until Friday, August 8th)
- Learning & Development Sessions (both E-learning & Instructor-Led)
- Performance management, including developing goals and holding Mid-Point and Final Evaluations
- Networking & Social Activities and Events
- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Intern Event
- Intern Speaker Series
- Collaborative Group Projects
Guidehouse’s Cybersecurity and Compliance Team focuses on supporting clients protect and secure their critical infrastructure, which includes developing, augmenting and managing cybersecurity, reliability, and compliance programs and processes.
Key responsibilities for this position may include:
- Supporting workstreams that enable the assessment, development, and enhancement of business strategies, operating plans, business processes, organizational structures, and supporting infrastructure for clients.
- Applying cybersecurity & risk management framework knowledge to support the design of client deliverables.
- Improving cybersecurity, reliability, and compliance programs and processes.
- Communicating solutions and new strategies to clients through reports and presentations.
- Conducting process and program evaluations
- Evaluating internal controls
- Conducting cybersecurity audits
- Providing detailed fact finding, research, and analysis to further support delivery
- Performing complex technical and economic analyses, spreadsheet creation, and project/task management.
What You Will Need:
- Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years
- Minimum Degree Status: Must still be enrolled in an accredited graduate or undergraduate level degree program and graduate between Fall 2025 and Summer 2026
- Ability to accommodate an expected Summer 2025 start date
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the country
- No current or future sponsorship is available for this position or related conversion offers
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Degree/Majors Preferred: Cybersecurity, Computer Science, and/or related majors
- Interest and/or experience in clean energy and/or sustainability
- Experience working in the compliance field, preferably with an electric utility
- Strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel as required
- Experience working in teams to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Possesses strong oral and written communication skills
- Heightened attention to detail
