Security Research and Developer Subject Matter Experts/Instructors

The Security Research and Developer  Subject Matter Experts/Instructors (SME/Instructors) shall provide services for ST NCCA, and also for the following ST CDSE entities: the DCSA Security Training Division, the DOD Security Training Division, the Insider Threat Division, and the Education Division. Within these Divisions, the SME/Instructors shall provide subject matter expertise and instruction related to the curricula for their area of expertise.

The Education Division offers a curriculum of advanced and graduate courses designed for DOD security professionals seeking to broaden their knowledge and understanding of the security profession.

The SME for the Education Division shall support course content development and delivery.

This individual shall not instruct Education courses; however, the individual shall be instrumental in the development of new advanced and graduate-level courses and the maintenance of existing courses.

This is a hybrid position and will require one day a week onsite

Minimum Requirements

• Education Division must have a master’s degree in security studies (this includes national security, security management, intelligence, criminal justice, homeland security, etc.)
• Current Personnel (Security) Clearance/ Eligibility (PCL) at the Secret level
• US Citizenship Required
• Mastery of the knowledge, skills, and policy related to their area of subject matter expertise and relevant work experience in their area of subject matter expertise.

Preferred Experience

• 2 years’ experience as an instructor to adult learners, in a formal classroom or via distance learning courses, related to DOD Security Policy
• 5 years’ work experience associated with the security discipline for which they shall develop course content or instruct.
• 5 years ‘experience as SME in the security discipline for which they shall develop course content or instruct.
