Application Security Engineer - Network X Program

Job Description

Role Purpose
As the Application Security Engineer for Starhub's Network-X program, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the program's success. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise, prioritize and coordinate with vendors' project and technical teams to meet objectives and deadlines. Your role will be vital in ensuring that all products under Network-X are built to the appropriate level of quality, whether it's Agile development tracks, Proof of Concepts (POCs), betas, or production, encompassing all ongoing initiatives. This role will be responsible for handling security design for 5G, API and Network as a service platform and products. 
The role is responsible for the security design of the new products. Duties include performing assessment of security aspects of competing products to determine and establish needs and requirements of the new products and new architecture. Efforts are then placed into exceeding customer expectations for the benefit of the company brand. 

Responsibilities 
•    Planning, engineering, and monitoring the security arrangements for the protection of the network systems and products.
•    Responsible for design, including Routing/Switching/Security configuration for application and infrastructure (physical and cloud). 
•    Identifying and defining the requirements of the overall security of the products, platforms, and infrastructure.
•    Strong domain knowledge NAT, Security protocols (Crypto, IPSEC, PKI, Trustsec, Anti-malware, Network based Threat Detection Response, Firewalls etc.)
•    Design and implement the technical solutions based on Security technologies such as – Firewall, WAF, SASE technologies. 
•    Design Production & LAB environment and look after security aspects.
•    Perform the security assessment of the product and solutions. 
•    Provide technical support in to develop product ideas based on customer audience interests for Network-X program.
•    Govern and manage various POCs, software development tracks, and initiatives under the Network-X program.
•    Collaborate closely with partners' delivery organizations to ensure timely project delivery.
•    Create project charters and lead a delivery crew to ensure accurate and on-time customer deliveries.
•    Define project scopes with partner teams and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
•    Establish strong working relationships with internal Starhub teams and partner clients.
•    Oversee the delivery team's daily activities, providing guidance and direction as needed.
•    Ensure the team maintains a high level of proficiency and efficiency in their work.
 

Qualifications

Requirements
•    Bachelor's degree in computer, information technology, or a related discipline.
•    4-5 years Professional experience in network security or as a security architect within the Telecom industry.
•    Experience in security platforms and devices from Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco 
•    Must have Certifications such as CCSE -Certified Cloud Security Engineer, CompTIA Certified Security Automation Engineer -CSAE, CNSE- Certified Network Security Engineer.
