Sentara is hiring for a Senior Cyber Security Operations Manager

This is a Full-Time position with great benefits!

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive cybersecurity procedures and practices for security operations team.
• Manage and guide the day-to-day operations of the cybersecurity operations team.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Coordinate with IT department on network optimization and incident response.
• Oversee regular security assessments and audits to ensure the effectiveness of security measures.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, threats, and technologies in cyber security.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on cybersecurity best practices.
• Develop strategies to handle security incidents and coordinate investigative activities.
• Act as a key contact for any cybersecurity issues.
• Prepare reports for senior management on security status and initiatives.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Operations Manager or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and protocols.
• Experience with security frameworks (NIST, ISO, etc) and risk assessment methodologies.
• Knowledge of security systems and tools, network technologies, and security infrastructures.
• Ability to manage and coordinate an incident response team.
• Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex security issues to non-technical staff.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are preferred.
