Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer at Zelis, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive security solutions across both endpoint and network environments. This role requires a broad range of experience in designing and implementing security tools to protect the organization’s digital infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, hands-on experience with a variety of security tools, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance our overall security posture.

Location and Workplace Flexibility: We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. We foster a hybrid and remote friendly culture and all of our employee's work locations are based on the needs of the position and determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities, if applicable, vary based on the work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies. 

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain endpoint security and network security solutions
• Design and deploy advanced endpoint protection solutions, including antivirus, anti-malware, and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems
• Design and deploy advanced network-based security solutions, including Network Detection and Response (NDR), Network Access Control (NAC), and Firewall
• Perform regular assessments and tuning of endpoint security configurations to ensure optimal protection
• Lead vulnerability scanning engineering
• Research and evaluate emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, and recommend appropriate countermeasures and best practices
• Technically lead a small team of associate cybersecurity engineers, including assigning and overseeing day-to-day tasks and providing technical guidance and mentorship

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• At least 8 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, with a focus on endpoint security and network security
• Knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices, such as NIST, ISO, CIS, OWASP, etc.
• 8+ years of experience various security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, EDR, NDR, IDS/IPS, Firewall

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience scripting languages, such as Python, PowerShell,  etc.
• Experience with email security and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies
