Job Summary

This role is recognized as subject matter expert and advanced individual contributor professional with expert knowledge in Cybersecurity. The position requires specialized skill sets and conducts highly complex work leading and developing a comprehensive security architecture for the entire Fresenius Kabi organization that integrates various work environments, including corporate and production environments, in accordance with industry standards, regulatory requirements and business objectives with full autonomy and extensive latitude for independent judgment. This individual contributor role communicates with a broad range of senior Fresenius Kabi stakeholders and is responsible for defining the Fresenius Kabi vision, principles and strategy for Security Architects with full autonomy and extensive latitude for independent judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and develops a comprehensive security architecture for the entire Fresenius Kabi organization that integrates various work environments, including corporate and production environments, in accordance with industry standards, regulatory requirements and business objectives.
  • Defines, creates and evolves the Fresenius Kabi architecture governance framework (e.g. architecture methodology, practices and standards) for IT/IOT/OT and set the architectural direction for the technology landscape in these areas.
  • Analyzes existing Fresenius Kabi environments and determines direction. Takes the lead in supporting changes in the technical and operational environment.
  • Recommends Fresenius Kabi security designs for projects or technologies up to an organizational or inter-organizational level.
  • Challenges and lead changes to Fresenius Kabi policies and processes to support business outcomes, business architecture, legal and policy implications.
  • Participates in Fresenius Kabi cross-functional projects with high strategic impact and define a strategy that can be used long-term and organization-wide to provide security planning and consulting.
  • Communicates with a broad range of senior Fresenius Kabi stakeholders and be responsible for defining the Fresenius Kabi vision, principles and strategy for Security Architects.
  • Supports Fresenius Kabi risk teams and risk owners as a security expert in the application of risk methodologies at the most complex risk levels, advising on the impact and whether it is within risk tolerance. Assess potential systems and process vulnerabilities to determine security infrastructure requirements.
  • Creates Fresenius Kabi Security architecture specifications for multiple information security domains.
  • Develops and manages the group’s function for Security Architecture
  • Defines and implemens of the group-wide security architecture strategy
  • Defines the Group-wide frameworks, methodologies, guidelines, procedures, etc.
  • Establishes of Group-wide reporting
  • Establishment and management of the Group-wide Security Architecture Board
  • Defines and coordination of generic security architecture blueprints within the Group with all relevant stakeholders
  • Defines metrics to measure the effectiveness of the security architecture
  • Evaluates synergies, organization of assessments, and management of group-wide activities
  • Manages of internal and external stakeholders
  • Explores, researches and assess new and updated cybersecurity standards, guidelines and regulations with regard to their applicability at Fresenius. Preparation, communication and discussion of any changes. Adaptation of the architecture, requirements and guidelines in line with the changes
  • Management and coordination of cybersecurity projects and sub-projects. Support and organization of proof-of-concepts with the Fresenius business units
  • Support for the other Cybersecurity Group functions
  • Keeps abreast of current requirements, technologies, trends and events that have a direct impact on his/her own area of responsibility and the skills required for it
  • All employees are responsible for ensuring the compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the cybersecurity environment with experience in security architecture
  • Expert knowledge of cybersecurity standards, guidelines and regulations in the production environment
  •  Extensive experience in the areas of expertise:
    • Cybersecurity technologies
    • Cybersecurity architectures
    • Cybersecurity in the production environment
    • Relevant cybersecurity standards, guidelines and regulations in the production environment
    • General cybersecurity standards and guidelines
    • Cybersecurity management systems

           

  • Moderate experience in the areas of expertise:
    • Processes and roles in the production environment
    • Cybersecurity risk management
    • Data Privacy & IT-Security
    • Cooperation with external service providers
    • Cybersecurity assessments

  • Experience in contract and SLA design and processing a plus:
  • Practice in working with metrics and measurements including documentation and reporting
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CISA, CISM or CISSP) are a plus
  • Experience in R&D, threat modelling, and risk assessments
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills ;the ability to speak, read, write in German a plus
  • Strong vendor management and business stakeholder management expertise, as well as advanced reporting skills
  • Analytical, creative, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial personality with the ability to self-organize and structure work
  • Ability to be build and maintain working relationships at all levels
  • High level of communication skills.
  • Must be action oriented and customer focused
