Job Description

At LinkedIn, we trust each other to do our best work where it works best for us and our teams. This role offers a hybrid work option, meaning you can both work from home and commute to a LinkedIn office, depending on what’s best for you and when it is important for your team to be together.

This role will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area (Sunnyvale/Mountain View).

LinkedIn is looking for a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) and Travel Security Senior Manager to join our Global Security & Safety team where we enable the business by providing a safe and secure work environment while supporting our values and cultures. This role will include a balance of strategic and operational responsibilities to lead a team in charge of detecting, monitoring, and responding to security incidents, as well as ensuring the safety and security of the company’s employees, travelers, facilities, and assets worldwide. The GSOC Senior Manager will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to implement security policies, procedures, and technology solutions, ensuring a comprehensive, employee-focused safety and security posture for the organization.

The ideal candidate will be a growth-minded, critical thinker who will apply risk based assessment methodologies to broad safety and security concerns. You will have experience partnering with the business to identify and communicate risks to the organization, implementing a “customer focused” approach to safety and security operations. You will be an energized ambassador for our broader security team – knowing how to communicate effectively and professionally to key stakeholders and decision-makers.

Note: Occasional travel may be required, including international travel. The role is based in a secure operations center environment and may involve extended periods of monitoring and response activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of security analysts, operators, and supervisors in the GSOC to monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and alarms globally.

  • Ensure 24/7 operational readiness of the GSOC, including staffing, shift management, and resource allocation.

  • Manage co-sourced contract workers and optimize their engagement according to budget; act as the lead in the scoping, budgeting, tracking of budget versus actuals, and status reporting as needed.

  • Coordinate the timely response to security incidents, including threat assessment, communication, escalation protocols, and after-action reports.

  • Manage and optimize the use of security technologies, such as CCTV, access control systems, intrusion detection, and threat intelligence platforms.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for global security matters, providing updates and briefings to senior management and other stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with regional security teams, facility managers, and other departments to ensure a cohesive security strategy.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including law enforcement, emergency services, and security vendors.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to global security operations.

  • Conduct audits and reviews of the GSOC's processes and systems, and implement corrective actions to improve operational rigor and expand the portfolio of services delivered.

  • Build measurable KPIs and Objectives consistent with LinkedIn requirements, and reflect these in Budgets and Business Plans updated as required.

  • Work with IT and other departments to ensure the security and integrity of GSOC systems and data.

  • Assist in the planning and execution of security exercises, drills, and training programs for the company.

  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the crisis management processes by leading a team capable of providing timely situation reports with often incomplete or fragmented threat information.

  • Develop and lead a team that operates through LinkedIn values, and the delivery of high quality service to both internal and external partners.

  • Contribute to an environment that fosters innovation and enables continuous improvement of the risk management and resilience mindset across the business.
