Your Role
The Manager, Data Safety role is within the Technology and Operations (T&O) division that creates value through the deployment of resilient and innovative technology and data solutions, and delivery of shared enterprise services at scale. Within T&O, the role is part of the Partnering, Quality & Integration (PIQ) business unit, which strives to uplift quality across the IAG group.
The purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to lead the Data Safety Program of work to ensure the security, privacy and integrity of IAG’s information assets and systems.
You will determine scope, and oversee the delivery of a program of work, across the core elements of IAG’s data protection framework to ensure that IAG’s data safety posture is within appetite, i.e. data management, operations, detection and prevention, response management, and artificial intelligence.
In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the effectiveness of the risk management practices within T&O and across the enterprise, and the achievement of the “Manage our risks” pillar of IAG’s corporate strategy.
This position is a permanent, full-time opportunity and can based in a metropolitan location on the East coast of Australia.
About You
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Extensive experience in project and program management, including scope definition, budgeting, planning, resource management, reporting, and governance, with proven engagement at an executive level.
- Strong knowledge of data protection, privacy, and security laws, regulations, and standards.
- Ideally hold a relevant professional certification, such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and resolve data safety issues and risks.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong outcome orientation coupled.
- Tertiary qualifications in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or related disciplines.
