The Opportunity: 

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in our technical delivery team by working with a Client Technology Manager (CTM) to drive the technology programs, including Cloud implementation and support, desktop engineering escalation and networking for a defined portfolio of clients. Using the latest and greatest technologies and solutions, you will support the client’s innovation by following a set of standards and best practices in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with, and act as a tier 3 escalation point for Client Technology Management, Service Desk, Engineering and other client support teams
  • Provide advanced support of cloud infrastructures such as Microsoft 365/Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and ECI’s proprietary technology
  • Implement and manage enterprise mail platform and security systems such as Microsoft Exchange, Google Workspace, Proofpoint Essentials and Mimecast
  • Execute basic tasks on enterprise switching, routing, security and wireless systems like VLAN changes, ACL updates, key rotations, and port reconfigurations
  • Take ownership of complex technical challenges and provide long term fixes based on root cause analysis
  • Document processes and procedures which explain system functionality or regular tasks to contribute to our internal knowledge base including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Audit undocumented client environments and provide technical recommendations based on findings
  • Apply best-practice configurations to client security platforms such as Azure Active Directory Conditional Access, DUO Multifactor Authentication (MFA) services, and zero-trust services such as Cloudflare and iBoss.
  • Provide high-level consultation on information security fundamentals such as good password hygiene practices, multi-factor authentication recommendations and social-engineering defense
  • Perform system maintenance tasks including software and operating system patching, software version upgrades, critical patch applications, and vulnerability remediation
  • Provide advanced support of Active Directory such as Domain Controller upgrades, Group Policy creation, scheduled software deployments, network policy maintenance, and certificate management
  • Interface with common technology support tools such as Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM), Mobile Device/Mobile Application Management, Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful delivery of project implementations, migrations, and upgrades
  • Acting as a technical lead for small projects and maintain accountability to delivery of scope

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology related field, or a minimum of 6+ years comparable experience in a technology administration role
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems such as Windows Server and Windows 10/11
  • Advanced administration experience with Public Cloud platforms with focus in Microsoft 365 and Azure (Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, Intune)
  • Experience in administration of e-mail platforms and security integrations such as Exchange Online
  • Experience in virtualization administration on platforms such as VMware vSphere and Hyper-V
  • Hands on experience in deployment and management of routing, switching, wireless, and security appliance technologies using vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and Meraki
  • Proficient in incident response management during security events and high-priority escalations, as well as disaster recovery and business continuity activations

Bonus points if you have:

  • Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience
  • Certifications in cloud services, network management or cyber-security, such as CCNA, CISSP, Azure Fundamentals and VCP a plus
