The Opportunity 

Reporting to the Enterprise Security Architect, this role is a core member of Medibank’s Security Architecture Team and is responsible for the planning and delivery of enterprise technology strategy and architecture services for Medibank’s information security domain, which will incorporate multiple key technology solutions and platforms spanning multiple teams. Key responsibilities include 

Key Responsibilities 

• Supporting the planning and development of Medibank’s Security Architecture practice and ensuring the services provided by the practice align with and meet Medibank’s needs. 
• Definition of security requirements to support the strategy & planning of appropriate protection and resilience capabilities aligned to Medibank’s cyber risk management objectives. 
• Alignment of security requirements to relevant enterprise architectures, including reference models, segment and solution architectures, and the resulting systems that protect and support Medibank’s business and technology processes. 
• Definition and prioritisation of cyber security use cases to design and implement balanced security controls that provide consistent, sustainable and risk proportionate protection for the lifespan of systems. 
• Development of security technology blueprints aligned to the enterprise security strategy and provides architectural leadership for the planning and implementation of the security technology blueprints to operationalise and mature enterprise cyber security services. 

The role will collaborate and work closely with: 

• Information Security, Platform and IT Service Owners, and Program/Delivery Leaders to ensure delivery programs execute upon the endorsed roadmap for security improvement. 
• Information Security and Platform teams to provide expert guidance and support in the design and implementation of secure and resilient solutions that ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data and mitigate potential risks.   

About you 

You will have extensive prior experience in leading the design and development of security architecture services for enterprise systems, including:

• Definition of security capabilities aligned to enterprise relevant security risks
• Designing security threat & risk assessments for critical systems and technologies
• Establishing security use-cases and solutions options reflecting enterprise stakeholder needs
• Developing and embedding security reference architecture artefacts to scale and standardise adoption of consistent security practices.

You will have established security practices for organisations in regulated industries, including practical experience in delivering security uplifts and improvements in APRA regulated organisations.
