Job Description:

 The Communications Specialist will support the CPIC in executing strategic communications and employee engagement priorities. This role involves a strong background in communications, SharePoint, and experience with program and project management tools and methodologies.  


What You Will Do: 

  • Develop creative and impactful communication and engagement strategies to support CPIC priorities. 
  • Create and deploy multi-modal communications products tailored by audience segmentation, demonstrating the impact of CPIC-led activities on agency and public health mission priorities. 
  • Evaluate communication channels and vehicles to effectively inform partners and collaborators. 
  • Develop and provide templates and additional materials to increase consistency across communications.  
  • Utilize HTML and SharePoint for the creation and management of communication content. 
  • Employ user experience (UX) principles to enhance communication effectiveness and user engagement. 
  • Apply program and project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to manage communication projects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality communication products. 

Requirements

What We Will Need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the communications field. 
  • Proficiency with SharePoint. 
  • Proficiency in user experience (UX) principles. 
  • Proficiency in program and project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Experience with audience segmentation and tailored messaging. 
  • Ability to evaluate and utilize various communication channels effectively. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
