Title and Summary

Vice President Sales, Treasury Management & Commercial Solutions Consultant Sales

Overview:
The North America Mastercard Commercial Solutions Consultant team leverages Mastercard’s assets and partnerships to drive differentiated value with existing and/or new Commercial banks and their corporates. The team works collaboratively with account managers, product owners and banks to commercialize products and identify new partnerships and products to better serve banks and their corporates.

The Vice President, Commercial Solutions Consultant is responsible for generating excitement, demand and sales of our treasury management and commercial solutions with our bank partners. This role is responsible for leading a team of product sales consultants and supporting teams responsible for commercial product sales and consultancy with our bank partners. The VP must demonstrate credibility in front of clients and have a proven track record as a seasoned corporate treasury professional with experience across cash, foreign exchange (FX), working capital and liquidity management and / or someone with experience advising corporate treasurers and payments executives with a solid grounding in transaction banking.

Role:
• Demonstrate knowledge of how treasury & payments are evolving to support shifting business and operational needs relevant to the C-suite
• Consult with banks to structure tailored solutions to support their strategic objectives, bringing together integrated solutions across commercial, card, cash, liquidity management and FX, with the aim to support their needs
• Proficient in managing experienced sales organizations as a player-coach, driving a spirit of collaboration focused on addressing the needs of customers and stakeholders
• Serve as the expert and advocate for the Commercial products and ecosystem to identify and understand the opportunities, challenges and potential partner priorities to establish mutually beneficial partnerships/commercial relationships. Provide continual and timely education to the broader team.
• Deliver against aggressive sales goals
• Strong communication and influencing skills, should be a compelling presenter to senior client audiences and able to influence large deals
• Partner closely with product teams to ensure customer needs and product innovations align with market and customer demands


All About You:
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Experiences
• Proven track record of progressively complex sales and strategic account management experience within the financial services sector, treasury management. Commercial payments industry experience is preferred
• Excellent problem solving and analytics skills and should be able to go head-to-head and influence internal stakeholders and customers alike with fact-based thinking
• Treasury & payments expertise - In-depth knowledge across cash management, working capital optimization, liquidity, FX, and merchant acquiring gained either through a transaction banking career and / or with corporate treasury of a multi-national corporate
• Client track record - Experience advising or working within large corporate / MNC treasury and relevant buying centers, and demonstrating knowledge of how treasury & payments are evolving to support shifting business and operational needs relevant to the C-suite.
• Stakeholder management - ability to influence colleagues at all levels and establish credibility with clients as a trusted partner.
• Highly collaborative and is passionate around building successful teams
• Executive communication and persuasion skills - Able to demonstrate executive-level communication and writing skills to craft and deliver messages for senior stakeholders.
• Strong networker across relevant stakeholder base with the ability to listen, build common ground and influence to effectively advance business opportunities and generate revenues

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
