The Zscaler Public Sector Professional Services team has the responsibility of guiding Zscaler's customers in the deployment and adoption of Zscaler technologies throughout our Public Sector customer base (Federal, SLED, and Healthcare). This opportunity is for the Public Sector Professional Services Manager (remote) position, reporting to the PS Director, and you will perform the majority of your work remotely, although travel to customer site(s) or Zscaler facilities may be required on an as-needed basis.
In this role, you will handle a broad range of responsibilities within the delivery of Professional Services to Zscaler's customers, including team management and performance assessments. Additionally, you will work with Zscaler's cloud operations, engineering, support, and sales teams to ensure Zscaler Professional Services are delivered promptly and help achieve the business, technical, and security goals for our customers. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a positive and engaging management style, with a focus on building, growing, and supporting your team.
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a technical team of Consultants/Architects responsible for deployment and support of Zscaler solution(s).
- Recruit and Grow the Public Sector Professional Services team, which includes: recruiting, hiring, onboarding, professional development, and performance management within the Public Sector Professional Services team.
- Collaborate with and assist the larger Zscaler Professional Services team to ensure the continued success of your fellow team members, Zscaler, and our customers.
- Maintain a positive environment that: encourages employee participation; motivates employee involvement; promotes individual growth & development; promotes a healthy work/life balance; and minimize turnover.
- Take Ownership of complex issues and drive to resolution. Be persistent, despite obstacles, opposition or setbacks. Ensure that your efforts match the customer's expectations and tempo.
Business Responsibilities:
- Ensure Salesforce/PSA accuracy to promote accurate staffing planning, business forecasting, and development of useful business insights.
- Improve operational excellence through process, procedures, tooling, training, and management of Performance Indicators.
- Establish and adapt global deployment best practices to drive consistency, quality, and efficiency.
- Collaborate across other internal Zscaler departments to ensure Voice Of The Customer is represented.
- Role expected to have a span of control ranging from 8 to 15 Consultants/Architects.
Other Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of Zscaler's technologies and promote the advantages of our solutions with customers.
- Operate as a Trusted Advisor to customers and the Field Sales Teams, to ensure the customer's business/strategic/technical goals are achieved while assisting the Field Sales Teams grow .
- Be able to pass customer-required drug-screening, background checks, and vaccinations (e.g. COVID). Zscaler recruiter/hiring manager will provide details on the exact requirements when discussing this opportunity.
What We're Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)
- 6+ years of prior work experience in similar technical positions (e.g. Solutions Architect, Systems Engineer, Professional Services Consultant, or a Professional Services Architect).
- Prior work experience developing, managing, and/or leading remote/geographically-dispersed employees and subcontractors.
- Comfortable talking about technical topics/issues with colleagues and business topics/issues with technical people.
- Experience working within or directly with the US Federal Government, SLED customers, or Healthcare customers required.
What Will Make You Stand Out
- 2+ years of prior work experience in similar manager positions (e.g. Professional Services, Sales Engineering, Customer Success).
- Prior or active US Federal Government/Public Trust/DoD clearance(s).
- Prior work experience running Professional Services business/organizations.
- Prior work experience across a broad range of technology solutions related to Networking, Cloud, Security, and SaaS within Enterprise environments.
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, PCNSA (or Higher), CISSP, or CCSP.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
