Technology Analyst

WHO YOU ARE

· You are pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, and other related fields of study OR you have completed a bachelor’s degree program in another area, but are pursuing a technology focused program with an expected graduation or completion date of December 2024 through Summer 2025, preferred

· Federal law requires that employees be legally authorized to work in the United States. Applicants for employment must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship for employment authorization

· You have a minimum GPA of 3.0

· You have good verbal and written communication skills

· You have proven analytical and problem-solving skills through course work, projects, and or previous internship experience

· You have a strong interest in technology and innovation

· Working knowledge of common programming languages (i.e., Java, C#, Javascript, Python, C/C++, Unix, SQL, etc.)

· You have an understanding of agile methodologies (i.e. Scrum, TDD, devOps)

· Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new technologies/systems

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Northern Trust Technology Analyst program is designed to develop the technical skills, business acumen, and leadership abilities of early career professionals. Participants will have the opportunity to perform meaningful assignments in various rotations while gaining a broader perspective, along with exposure to leadership of the different departments in their chosen career track. Rotations and team assignments are selected based on the business need as well as your career interests, goals, and skills.  Participants will have the opportunity to perform meaningful assignments while gaining a broad perspective, along with exposure to leadership of the different departments.

You will be part of a motivated and supported community, attending tech events, contributing to significant digital products or technology outcomes, empowered to learn and grow. You will be connected with mentors and advisors who will guide and advocate for you. 

Technology Assignments or Rotations Might Include:

Technology and Software Development

Develop technical and business knowledge and skills and gain exposure to leading technology stacks while you inhabit different roles within our various software development groups. To promote efficient, progressive learning, you will be supported by a community as you contribute to key IT projects and initiatives.

Infrastructure and Technology Management

You will operate and manage essential technology platforms that support business and financial applications, including cloud platforms like Azure and Amazon Web Services. You will be challenged as you work closely with developers, engineers and architects to manage traditional and cloud platforms as you drive reliability, scale and performance.

Cybersecurity

Explore security and cyber resiliency practices including data protection, threat and vulnerability management, and identity and access management. As you contribute you will work alongside other talented cyber security professionals collaborating with infrastructure and software development teams to ensure the integrity of data and platforms.
