Network Threat Prevention Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Threat Prevention Engineer will be the SME working on a large multi-year refresh project. The engineer will ensure compliance with security standards, design principles, and best practices. The ideal candidate should possess a strong engineering mindset, complemented by exceptional collaboration and written and verbal communication skills. They should have a proven ability to engage effectively with clients at all levels & demonstrate adaptability in diverse environments.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The primary responsibility is to provide technical solutions related to Proxy and Malware detection devices during a network refresh. The Engineer will also participate in Threat Prevention infra migration and upgrade projects globally each year.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Experience migrating from Blue Coat Proxy to SkyHigh Proxy and FireEye (Trellix) malware detection systems.
• Must have deep experience in change management and a proven ability to create and manage Change Requests (CRQs) with comprehensive documentation, including change impact assessments, configuration details, and rollback plans, and presenting these in CAB (Change Advisory Board) meetings.
• In-depth understanding of proxy policy modifications and their potential impacts and dependencies, with the ability to communicate these across all management levels.
• Must have strong skills in creating accurate documentation.
• Proficiency in scripting for automation purposes and identifying configuration differences
• Familiar with integrating proxy services with F5 SSO and Orchestra
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Analytical skills with the ability to address issues proactively and find practical solutions.
• Teamwork: Experience working in collaborative environments and supporting cross-functional team
• This role will require weekend work during maintenance or cutover periods.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• B.S Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent preferred with at least five years of proven experience in CyberSecurity environments
• Experience in ITIL processes, such as incident management, is preferred
• Professional Certification in Web Proxy Services, Fire Eye (Trellix)  CCNA Security, CCNP, BCCPA, BCCPP, CISSP, CISA, CCSP, CEH
