Summary

Assists the Compliance Department in complying with the various requirements governing our business.  The Compliance Associate role is comprised of Project Management, Training Coordination, Document Coordinator and general assistance with our compliance program to meet HITRUST certification, compliance to HIPAA, financial industry regulations and contractual obligations. This position involves multiple different assignments on a day-to-day basis.
 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Track cross departmental projects derived from identified process improvement opportunities, the QMS, departmental meetings, etc.
  • Manage and help create training programs across departments to help meet contractual and compliance requirements
  • Assist the Compliance area by reading and analyzing obligations in contract and certification frameworks for auditable requirements.
  • Help the Risk Management process by analyzing and synthesizing requirements to help identify risks and assist in the control process.
  • Support certification audits (i.e. SOC 2 Type II, HITRUST, etc.) 
  • Assist the Business Process Improvement area by assisting with Workshops, documenting action plans and aggregating gaps
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory and certification requirements
  • Work with relevant company departments (ie. Software Engineering, Information Security, Accounting) in creating and managing their SOPs
  • Perform other duties to assist Compliance leadership as assigned or required

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field
  • 2 years of relevant work experience in project management, training coordination, and/or document management
  • Ability to self-manage working remotely
  • Experience working in a heavily regulated industry a plus
  • Knowledge of HITRUST, SOC 2 or ISO 9001
     

Working Conditions

Must be able to perform essential job duties.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each workday), hear the telephone, and enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
