Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager, Technical Engagements to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling and coordination of hundreds of security assessments each year for our customers, ensuring that launch deadlines are met, information is complete and accurate, and security assessments are set up for optimal outcomes. This role is pivotal in maintaining the high standards our clients expect and will involve the development and enhancement of business tools to manage the scheduling process effectively, including capacity tracking.

The Project Manager, Technical Engagements reports into the Sr. Director, Delivery Excellence within HackerOne’s Customer Success department and works closely with Technical Engagement Managers responsible for the execution of security assessments and quality of results. HackerOne Assessments, executed by the Delivery Excellence team, is HackerOne’s fastest growing product and business line.

What You Will Do
  • Upon starting, you’ll work closely with the Sr. Director, Delivery Excellence to shape strategic advancements for the department to optimize scheduling and capacity functions, prioritize initiatives based on impact and effort, and design execution plans. 

  • Within your first 3 months, you’ll support the execution of business strategies and collaborate with cross-department peers to assist in process and product improvements.

  • Coordinate the scheduling of security assessments, ensuring that deadlines are met, client expectations are managed, and that information is accurately maintained during the pre-sales to post-sales transition.

  • Work closely with the HackerOne Revenue team and customers to gather accurate and complete information necessary for scheduling and fulfillment.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to align resources and manage project timelines effectively.

  • Help design enhancements and utilization of business tools to improve the scheduling process.

  • Ensure tools are capable of tracking capacity and optimizing resource allocation, relying on your judgment to refine tools that adapt to evolving business needs.

  • Continuously refine and enhance tools to adapt to business needs and improve efficiency.

  • Support process improvements and contribute to the establishment of best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the scheduling process.

  • Coordinate with customers to solidify launch dates, deadlines, and tentative timelines for unutilized services with unclear timelines.

  • Generate and maintain reports on scheduling, capacity utilization, and project status. Including refinement and design of KPI metrics.

  • Document processes and updates to ensure consistency and clarity across the team and cross-departments.

Minimum Qualifications  
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on scheduling and coordination.

  • Proven experience execution planning for concurrent client-facing projects with a strong emphasis on meeting tight deadlines.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling and capacity tracking.

  • Proven experience deriving quantifiable metrics from internal operations activities and subjective quality indicators, including creating data where they’re needed and don’t exist.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be based remotely in US. HackerOne is a digital-first company. This model offers our employees flexibility in time and location. All employees must be able to work and excel in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A technical background or background in security is NOT a requirement but familiarity with penetration testing, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and/or the cybersecurity landscape is a plus.

  • Experience building operational workstreams and reporting in Gainsight, Monday.com and/or Salesforce is a plus.
