Job Description

Are you ready to be part of an energetic high performing Cyber security team doing work that matters?

We have a great opportunity to join a highly motivated and dedicated team of cyber professionals providing a leading cyber security capability for the environments that our deployed military personnel rely on. This role enables you to utilise your IT network security experience in a supportive team environment, learn new technologies in the cyber security space and interact with highly technical peers, partners and military personnel.

Working within a high performing supportive team this role allows you to utilise your experience and make a real difference.

This is a 6 month max-tenure contract.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing operational support for a number of cyber security technology functions, such as, Endpoint Security, Network Security and SIEM and Log infrastructure support.
  • Assist with design, deployment and maintenance of cyber security platforms;
  • Undertake routine patching and configuration tasks;
  • Perform integration and other testing functions impacted by the security infrastructure, and;
  • Contribute to informed and well-articulated security assessments of technical undertakings performed throughout the environment;

Qualifications

  • Strong technical experience in deployment and maintenance of security infrastructure Appliances, including thorough and sound change management practices.
  • Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto NGFW platforms;
  • Experience with Proxy appliances;
  • Experience with Enterprise grade endpoint security products, including EDR solutions and working with an embedded SOC and Threat Hunt Capability;
  • Experience with Network Access Control Appliances and their application and use within enterprise environments.
  • Experience with Splunk as a SIEM solution;
  • Experience with administering Windows OS and RedHat Enterprise Linux Servers and application maintenance practices, hosted on these platforms;
  • Working knowledge in cybersecurity principles such as hardening standards; and Techniques, vulnerability management and offensive/ defensive capabilities and practices.

Successful candidates will be required to be Australian Citizens and hold and maintain an NV-2 or above Australian Government Security Clearance.
