Job Description

ARHS Group – part of Accenture – is looking for a DevSecOps engineer for one of its clients at the EU Institutions in Brussels.

Role & responsibilities

  • Deploying applications and services developed by the organisation to the cloud (both the on-premises private cloud which is based on Kubernetes, as well as on AWS and Azure public cloud), in a DevSecOps environment.
  • In co-operation with the IT Development Team, designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, for the deployment of applications (mainly .NET and Java).
  • Automating the integration of security practices in every phase of the software development lifecycle, from initial design through integration, testing, deployment, and software delivery.
  • Supporting the migration of our IT Developers Team to the DevSecOps solution provided by the client.
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of the deployed applications and services, ensuring application of the security plan, and monitoring performance and costs.

Qualifications

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Capability of integration and ability to work in an international/multicultural environment on multiple large projects.
  • Rapid self-starting capability & excellent team player.
  • Good knowledge of English (C1) or French (C1).
  • Good communication skills to be able to participate in technical meetings.
  • High degree of discretion and integrity is required as the applications managed and maintained process personal and confidential data.
  • During the performance of above listed tasks, you may have access to sensitive or secured data or to secured areas. The proposed candidate must be able to obtain the security clearance (EU/NATO security clearance level secret).

Technical skills

  • At least 3 years of experience with deployment of applications and services in a cloud environment
  • Experience in deploying and operating systems and applications using container orchestration with Kubernetes (and related technologies such as Docker).
  • Experience with main cloud platforms (AWS and Azure).
  • Experience in configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
  • Experience in software security/vulnerability assessment (SAST, SCA) using SonarQube, Fortify and similar tools.
  • Experience in Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) using Terraform, Ansible, and similar tools.
  • Ability to write clear and structured technical documentation.

The following skills would be considered an advantage:

  • Experience with management and deployment of APIs on the cloud and on-premises.
  • Good knowledge of enterprise logging and monitoring solutions (e.g. Dynatrace)
  • Experience in writing and maintaining scripts (Bash/Unix, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with open-source projects and development methods.
