Cloud Platform Engineer - Security - Manager

Job description

Charles River Development is looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to work in the Cloud Platform Engineering team. In this role you will interface with engineering teams, product management and business units to define and deliver robust, scalable and agile architectures in support of the rapidly growing product capabilities. This includes storage, compute, networking and services deployed across the globe and with a strong, forward-looking security architecture for a growing range of compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• The position is a highly technical role that will participate in the design and delivery of Azure infrastructure deployment and mitigation of information security risks
• Evaluate, implement, and operationalize new security capabilities in products such as Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel, Azure Policy, and Azure DevOps
• Define standards and best practices by conducting POCs for new cloud technologies leveraged by the development organization and engineering teams
• Hands on experience designing and engineering Azure services
• Contribute and drive knowledge sharing, documentation & collaboration
• Be a team player, accountable, self-motivated and delivery focused engineer

What we value

• Eight years of cloud experience, with at least 4 years in Azure
• Hands on working experience designing/implementing secure platforms for applications and data
• Ability to assist, contribute & lead when required with prototyping various platform specific solutions & technologies
• Hands on experience of codifying secure cloud platform provisioning activities using tools such as Terraform, Azure Policy, Ansible, and PowerShell DSC
• Experience in supporting Windows and Linux-based infrastructure
• Hands on governance audit/enforcements using Azure policies (preferably Policy as Code)
• Programming experience using Python, and/or PowerShell is a plus
• Experience with Kubernetes, microservices architecture is a plus
• Understanding of Azure networking and security infrastructure to support Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions
• Hands-on experience in the designing, deployment and engineering Azure services
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable in global working environment
• Ability to interact with technical staff across multiple systems and disciplines
• Azure Security Engineer Associate certification, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert
