DESE Research, Inc. is seeking a talented, motivated, and enthusiastic Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) Analyst to add to our team. The candidate will serve as the team's Subject Matter Expert (SME), supporting a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team providing in-depth technical analysis to the Army in Huntsville, AL. This position will provide support in identifying threats and areas of risk to the Army's current and developmental weapon systems through SCRM vendor and component analysis per DoD 5200.44 and DoD 5200.39.

Responsibilities in this role include identifying system functionality and critical components by analyzing and decomposing complex systems from documentation as well as input from engineering subject matter experts. The candidate will work as part of a small team in conducting research and identifying areas of risks, threats, and vulnerabilities to the vendor and identified components. These assessments will be compiled and presented to the customer(s) through various efforts within the Army. To be successful in this role, the candidate will need knowledge and understanding of program protection and SCRM. Responsibilities also include:

  • Review program design and operations documentation to condense into relevant data packages for conducting cyber vulnerability assessments.
  • Prepare multi-disciplinary reports, incorporating data from disparate groups and organizations into a cohesive narrative.
  • Prepare presentation materials to brief significant assessment findings in-person and via video conference settings.
  • Provide insight into opportunities for process improvements.
  • Apply SCRM research and methodologies towards Operational Security missions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Five years of related work experience with four being directly related to execution of criticality analysis, program protection, and/or SCRM.
  • Demonstrated expertise in decomposition and analysis of weapon systems with a focus on Information Communication Technology (ICT).
  • Understanding of Trusted Systems and Networks (TSN) Analysis, Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM), and DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Experience participating in Cyber Table Top exercises.
  • Knowledge of SCRM to include illumination of the commercial supply chain and vendor/component assessment.
  • Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills, including excellent competency using Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Strong ability and interest to grasp new knowledge and skills through independent research and study.
  • Baseline understanding and ability to use Analyst's Notebook or other link analysis software.
  • Current Secret level clearance.
