Project Coordinator for Her Cyber: Empowering Women and Girls in Cyber Project

Role Purpose

 

To coordinate, facilitate and deliver the activities of the project titled: “Her Cyber: Empowering Women and Girls in Cyber”, in Albania, funded by the FCDO in compliance with the client and the British Council policies, procedures and project management standards as well as to ensure satisfactory delivery of the day to day operational activities of the project. The contract for the role will be Fixed Term Contract for a period of up to 12 months.

This role sits within the Cultural Engagement (CE) Strategic Business Unit (SBU). CE brings together our portfolio of work in arts, education, English, and research. Our portfolio is delivered through a set of globally led programmes that locates our work and impact within our strategic framework. These programmes deliver our key performance indicators and impact ambitions.

Responding to the FCDO Albania Memorandum of Understanding for the project titled “Her Cyber: Empowering Women and Girls in Cyber”, the project aims to create a more inclusive and gender-diverse landscape in the cybersecurity field in Albania by increasing and promoting female participation in the cyber security workforce.

This programme is designed to increase women's participation in the cybersecurity workforce in Albania, employing a holistic strategy that encompasses 1) educational pathways, 2) individual awareness, and 3) societal perceptions.

 Main accountabilities for this role:

 The role offers professional development and professional networking opportunities with a broad range of stakeholders.

In collaboration with the Project Manager and wider cluster and country teams contribute to successful delivery of the project in the targeted areas in the country. The role reports to the Project Manager.     

Project Coordination, Logistics and Travel Management

•              Coordinate the project delivery in the three targeted areas in the country.

•              Coordinate the procurement and contracting related to consultants, suppliers and other service providers.

•              Organization of high quality events according to the project timelines and British Council’s and client’s quality standards. Co-ordinate venues, consultant logistics, guest lists, transport, accommodation, media coverage and photographers, and programme development.

•              Coordinates all project activities including provision of logistical support required for successful project implementation

•              Liaise with partners, consultants and networks associated with the project, including ministries’ and agencies’ focal points in order to ensure effective delivery of activities.

•              Keeps inventory of project assets and maintains supplies of stationery and equipment for the project delivery

 Administrative Management

•              Provides direct, everyday administrative support to the project’s Project Manager and other project experts (making appointments, preparing and printing materials for meetings, keeping minutes of meetings, copying and filing materials, etc.)

•              Organises and arranges (including drafting agenda and invitations based on input received from Project Manager a range of meetings, roundtables, seminars and other engagements/events

•              Collects and files all project outputs in dedicated folders, both electronically and in hard copies

•              Ensures project outputs are correctly formatted

•              Performs other administrative tasks as required

Finance support

•              Provides support to the Project Manager in ensuring that the project’s expenses are properly managed and monitored

•              Supports the Project Manager in the preparation of required documentation on a monthly basis in relation to regular expenditure verification (audit).

Monitoring and Evaluation

•              Support the collection, processing and reporting of monitoring and evaluation data gathered from the project in support of the British Council Scorecard and other monitoring and evaluation requirements, as needed.

•              Ensure that all aspects of the project and activities comply with the British Council codes of practice, industry regulations and policies including but not limited to our policies for Child Protection, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Environment and our brand guidelines.

English, C1 level

Role Specific Skills

 

Essential

•              Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in coordinating project activities

•              Experience in working with a range of partners, consultants, clients, suppliers

•              Technical skills and experience in working with MS Office

Desirable

•              Previous experience as project coordinator on national level

•              Previous experience in one of the targeted areas of the project: Dibra, Kukes, Shkoder
