Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring a Cyber Operations SME for the USSTRATCOM program in Bellevue, Nebraska. 

 

What you'll do: 

 

The ITCC II Cyber Operations SME is helping shape Peraton delivery of cyber security operations to the Command. The Cyber Operations SME focuses on NC3 emerging requirements and aligning to existing and future cyber operations capabilities.  Responsible for communicating policies, purposes and goals of the Command Cyber Operations activities.

 

Candidate must be able to perform the following tasks: 

  • Ensure employees have knowledge of cyber security principles, operations security, cyber threats and vulnerabilities, and knowledge of national regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cyber security.
  • Develops, reviews, and applies specific cyber operations guidance for integration into broader planning activities.
  • Responsible for providing input to stakeholders for the development and refinement of cyber operations objectives, priorities, strategies, plans and programs.
  • Provides input into the administrative and logistical elements of an operational support plan.
  • Ensure employees review, approve, prioritize, and submit information technology changes in to support cyber capabilities.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to leverage analytical and technical expertise to ensure mission goals are met.
  • Typically has prior military experience and a deep understanding of military hierarchy and leadership.
  • May work in the financial sphere to assist with planning goals, programming objectives, and may be responsible for preparing real time data for leadership.
  • Assists in developing new approaches to improve organizational framework through the coordination and integration of staff processes.
  • Drafts and provides briefings, information/decision papers, policy documents, staffing packages, letters, memorandums, and official multimedia correspondence.

Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD, 12 years of applicable experience in lieu of degree will be considered.

  • US Citizenship
  • Active Top Secret Clearance SCI
  • Security+ certification
  • CCNA certification

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
