General Description

Lead the designing, implementing, and managing our Identity and Access Management systems and processes. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the security and efficiency of our organization's digital assets while fostering a culture of security awareness and compliance.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops strategy, plans, and manages marketing support to launch and position products and services in collaboration with business units: 
  • Develop and lead the IAM strategy, ensuring it aligns with business goals and security requirements.
  • Architect IAM solutions that encompass user provisioning, access control, authentication, and authorization.
  • Implement and maintain IAM systems, including identity provisioning, password management, and role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Manage user access and entitlements across various systems and applications.
  • Ensure IAM systems and processes comply with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Identity and Access, including provisioning, inactivation, and auditing. Primary systems include but are not limited to Active Directory Users & Computers, Identity Governance, and Identity Manager.
  • Works with the Information Security leadership team to help develop a security program and security projects that address risks and business requirements.
  • Leads the operations and development of one or more security areas: Identity and Access Management (IAM) program, including centralizing access management and role-based provisioning.
  • Proposes changes to existing policies and procedures to ensure operating efficiency, regulatory compliance, and security workflows.
  • Assists the Information Security leadership team to develop budget projections based on short- and long-term goals and objectives.
  • Monitors IAM practices ensuring compliance with the necessary security and compliance requirements.
  • Assists in the management operational and performance metrics. • Assist with internal and external auditing and remediation of findings

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.

Experience

Three (3) years of supervisory experience, and five (5) years of solid IAM Cyber experience. 

Certifications / Licenses

No certifications or license needed.

  • Communication skills: effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to foster trusting relationships with colleagues and clients. Highly develop written and verbal communications skills, strong ability to communicate ideas (storytelling). Presents numerical data effectively. Superior communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent report-writing and presentation skills. Polished in preparing presentations, summaries, and reports for all audiences. Bilingual (Spanish/English).
  • Analytical skills: Stays focused on main issues, prevents irrelevant issues or distractions from interfering with timely completion of assignments. Collects, research and complements data; Synthesizes complex or diverse information. Demonstrates attention to detail; Applies design principles; Generate creative solutions. Strong quantitative, research and analytical skills. Experience with data analysis, persuasive and informative writing, workload management, and process management.
  • Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Develops alternative solutions.
  • Project Management: Ability to prioritize and work with multiple projects and tasks with minimum supervision; self-direct and task switch between strategic and tactical initiatives regularly. Capacity to achieve results according to plan ensuring the expected quality. Excellent organization capacity to define priorities, meet deadlines, and flexible to change. Knowledge on project coordination, identification of business needs, work plan, budget control, time management, resource allocation, team management and status reports. Must demonstrate leadership, logic, and reasoning skills.
  • Operational/Regulations Processes: Knowledge on budget administration, resources allocation, organization’s policies, and regulations. Ability to establish, conduct and track operational processes properly.
  • Computer and Technological Skills: Proficient in MS Office 365. Experience with data management tools such as Power Pivot, Power BI, among others is desired. Ability to achieve results by providing innovative ways of working with operational and technological considerations. Knowledge of computer flow charts.
