The Impact you will have in this role:

Being a member of the Counsel's Office, the Associate Director on the Compliance Testing team is responsible for performing Compliance testing, including managing testing staff. The Compliance Testing Associate Director drives planning, fieldwork, and report approvals. The primary measure of success is identifying issues regarding the design and effectiveness of compliance controls, and creating reliable documentation to support their work. The Compliance Testing Associate Director must handle a number of partner relationships, be a good teammate, and mentor more junior team members.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • In coordination with other management, develops and executes against an annual test plan using risk-based evaluation to compare existing coverage, proposed coverage, related processes, and applicable regulations 
  • Assesses the risk and control environment for processes within coverage areas
  • Identifies important meaningful issues, using root cause analysis, in which controls are not adequately designed or are not operating effectively 
  • Work with coverage areas leadership to develop action plans to improve controls and to  provide ongoing support and monitoring of the implementation of those controls
  • Prepares clear and concise test result reports to be reviewed by Compliance leadership and delivered to responsible senior management stakeholders 
  • Interfaces and builds relationships with the business and support functions to understand tactical and big picture issues in the organization
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration
  • Documents work performed clearly and concisely and prepares well-written reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with minimum 5 years of related experience.

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Previous experience in compliance testing or auditing required
  • Advanced knowledge of and ability to interpret financial services industry regulatory requirements
  • Advance knowledge and skills in Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Advance data analysis skills, i.e. the ability to work with large sets of data, perform analysis and derive conclusion
  • Highly flexible, able to change direction based on business needs, and multi-project oriented
  • Ability to collaborate with various levels of management
  • Certifications related to the candidate’s coverage responsibilities are beneficial, but not required, such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
