Information Systems Security Officer

ManTech is currently looking for Information Systems Security Officer to join our team in the Ft. Meade, MD area. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse Big-Data cloud systems based upon documented requirements.

• Provides support for a program, organization, system, or enclave’s information assurance program. Provides support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.

• Maintains operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.

• Assists with the management of security aspects of the information system and performs day-to-day security operations of the system.

• Evaluate security solutions to ensure the meet security requirements for processing classified information.

• Performs vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation.  Provides configuration management for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.

• Manages changes to system and assesses the security impact of those changes. Prepares and reviews documentation to include SSPs, Risk Assessment Reports, C&A packages, and SRTMs. Supports security authorization activities in compliance with NIST RMF. 

• You will Interact with customers, IT staff, and high-level corporate officers to define and achieve required IA objectives.

• You will provide daily oversight and direction to contractor ISSOs.

• You will serve as an ISSM.

Minimum Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required or 4 years of additional experience as an ISSO may be substituted in lieu of degree.

• Requires DoD 8570 compliance with 1AM Level I or higher certification.

• Must have 15 years of experience as an ISSO with at least 3 years in the following areas: knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; and encryption techniques/tools.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have current/active TS/SCI w Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
