Product Marketing Manager, Services

As a Product Marketing Manager for Services at Rapid7, you will become the voice of the customer, the storyteller, and the go-to-market strategist behind our rapidly expanding cybersecurity services. In this role, you will translate complex technical concepts into clear, impactful value propositions and narratives that resonate with the market and our diverse customer base. You’ll work closely with a wide group of stakeholders, champion initiatives to launch, and deeply understand the market. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, market insight, and hands-on execution to ensure our products stand out in a competitive market.

Rapid7 Product Marketing is an intelligent and talented group of people, passionate about connecting security and risk teams to services and solutions that enable them to effectively manage risk and stay ahead of cyber threats. In a highly competitive space, this team is responsible for bringing products to market, driving growth of our business, and enabling our field teams and partners.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organized self-starter to own product launch delivery, new commercial offers, and compelling go-to-market programs that resonate with security operations center (SOC) teams and security leaders and address the challenges they face in their detection and response programs.

In this role, you will: 

  • Craft compelling messaging and market positioning for various stakeholders and personas - amplifying our story, position our services and products to the right target audiences, and grow with us

  • Support the planning and execution of launching new managed services capabilities and offers to market

  • Craft high-impact sales and marketing material at multiple altitudes to resonate with audiences wherever they’re at in their buying journey

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for managed services at Rapid7, with a deep understanding of the customers pain points, market challenges, and how we address them

  • Establish rapport and working relationships with cross-functional stakeholders across the business to partner on projects and chase down deliverables

  • Represent the voice of the customer in internal discussions and initiatives impacting the product strategy and campaign execution, with a solid understanding of the best levers to motivate, excite, and educate customers

  • Participate in webcasts, podcasts, events, and other demand-generation activities

  • Build and contribute to sales and partner enablement initiatives 

  • Deep dive into the competitive landscape and translate information into insights for key stakeholders

The skills you’ll bring include: 

  • 3+ years of work experience in Product Marketing or content marketing in a technical B2B environment 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, great storytelling abilities, and ability to simplify complex topics into narratives or visuals

  • Solid foundational understanding of cybersecurity, managed security, or detection and response expertise is a plus

  • Comfortable and confident presenting in meetings, on webcasts, and at regional partner events

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Resourcefulness, curiosity, ability to take direction and run with it, comfortable with change and effective when working in a fast-paced environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field, or equivalent work experience
